Your Rights and The Law

In Wales we have signed up to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Keith Towler, is there to make sure that all children and young people in Wales get their rights. These rights are the things that children need to be safe, healthy and happy.

Become a Super Ambassador and tell all your friends about the Children's Commisioner for Wales' Work and about all children's rights!

You think you 'Know your rights'?

Advocacy is about helping children and young people express what they want and to have their say.  An Advocate is the person that helps children and young people to do this. Advocates do not make any decisions but help the child or young person put across their wished or feelings (Children’s Legal Centre, 2008)
