in the team and we thought it would be a good idea to say "Hi"!

Kayley Giles, Family Information Service Web and Data
Development Officer
(currently on maternity leave)
Hi, I'm Kayley and I look after NPT Family and NPT Shake. Part
of this includes developing our database of services that are
available for families in NPT, running the social media pages for
both sites (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube)and
co-ordinating the NPT Shake Youth Editorial Group
who develop NPT Shake. You might see me out and about at
events - so come and say "Hello!".
In my spare time, I enjoy going to watch some live
music, visiting different places and being with family
and friends!

Rachel Morgan, Family Information
Service Web and Data Development Officer
Hi, I’m Rachel and I manage
the Family Information Service. Part of
this includes developing our database of services that
are available for families in NPT, updating the NPT Family
website and running the social media pages for both
facebook and twitter.
In my spare time I enjoy
spending time with my family and friends, going to watch music
concerts and love weekends away!

Ceirion Gilbert, FIS OOSC Support
Assistant
I’m Ceirion and I’m the
Outreach Worker for the Family Information Service. My
role
sees me out and about in the community, working
closely with schools and childcare settings particularly, but also
in libraries, supermarkets, leisure centres and town centres around
the County or, during the holidays, in our beautiful parks along
with Sheldon, the FIS mascot. I also work closely with the Early
Years and Childcare Unit especially providing information to
parents about financial support available for childcare.
I enjoy taking my
dog Fred for walks, going to the gym, travelling,
listening to music, going out with friends or just chilling on the
sofa with a good film!
Alex Murphy, FIS Support
Assistant
Hey, my name is Alex and I’m the Family
Information Service Support Assistant. I’m responsible for
developing and updating the database of services that are available
for families in NPT, as well as answering enquiries on these
services. I also help run the social media pages for Facebook and
Twitter.

friends and spending time with the family!
Nicola Hire, Early Years and Childcare Co-ordinator
My name is Nicola Hire and I am the Early
Years and Childcare Coordinator and I manage the Early Years and
Childcare Unit.
My role is to ensure that there are sufficient
childcare places for those parents or carers who want or need to
use childcare. I have responsibility for the Childcare
Sufficiency Assessment which is undertaken regularly in line with
our statutory duty. The Early Years and Childcare Unit also
implements new Welsh Government initiatives for the childcare
sector.
Michelle Jenkins, Day Care Assistant Childcare Development
Officer
Hello, my name is Michelle I am married, with two beautiful
daughters living in Neath. In my spare time I enjoy spending time
with my family, tv/music and socializing with my friends.
I am the Assistant Childcare Development Officer working in the
Early Years and Childcare Unit of NPT Council. I support
childcare providers/settings in the borough to set up new
provisions, working with existing, funding and training
opportunities.
Amy Peers, Childminders Assistant Childcare Development
Officer
Hello, my name is Amy. I am
the Childminders Assistant Childcare Development
Officer
working in the Early Years and Childcare. My role is to support all
childminders in the borough from applications to setting up
new provisions. Also working with existing childminders, and
advising on funding and training opportunities. I also support
provisions to complete schemes such as HSPSS and the Healthy Snack
Award.
I live in Llanelli with
my fiancé, my two children and our pet rabbit Wiggles. In my spare
time I like spending time with my family and visiting lots of
parks. As well as catching up with friends.
Samantha Dorrell, Clerical Assistant
Hi, my name is Sam and I am the admin support
for the team. I deal with the claims process of the O Gam I Gam
scheme, enquiries for childcare (Childminders, parent/toddler
groups, day nurseries, playgroups and out of school), mail
distribution to providers and general duties.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my
family and socialising with my friends.
